Pros

1. If you like the big pharma atmosphere, this is one of the few gigs in town 2. There are talented individuals here and across the company who have invested years into developing their craft (pension used to help retain this talent)

Cons

1. Constantly trying to adapt to organizational change, wondering when your time is up 2. Governance and process stifles creativity and zaps energy 3. Morale was low and is lower now since legacy Seagen colleagues are treated preferentially

Pros

A nice office in NYC and the people are mostly kind. Very smart co-workers and generally good WLB.

Cons

Leadership (at the ELT level) is terrible. They guided the company’s decisions into bad performance resulting in mass layoffs but they seem tone deaf each time they discuss it. They have zero sense of accountability and I would not trust them to keep this company stable without a full blown pandemic driving demand for Covid products. Dont expect any helpful form of onboarding to the company. You’re handed a laptop, an “onboarding buddy” which is typically a person on your team who is too swamped to actually do that role for you, and then a deluge of work is thrown at you right away. It’s very sink or swim in the first couple of weeks. Return to office has been a complete mess. They list 2-3 days on job descriptions but the truth is it’s 2.5 days over a 6-week average. Meaning if you do 2 days one week, you have to do 3 the next. That’s fine until you take time off and that PTO affects your badge swipes with no way to track that you were away on PTO. Taking a week vacation can easily result in you missing your 2.5 average and ending up on a list with HR. Also, there’s no way to track your time off at Pfizer but for some reason you can “buy more vacation” during open enrollment. Good luck convincing your manager you bought an extra week with no site or system to point to. I find Pfizer to be highly disorganized and poorly led but there definitely worse places to work overall. I would not trust my career here with the current leadership that’s in place.

Pros

Work with some great people, benefits are great

Cons

Company is in a constant state of re-org and change. Zero job security. Nothing ever gets executed before some senior leader changes the direction of the company and everything has to be rebuilt.
