Competitive Salary. Big player in pharmaceuticals. Multiple options for career paths. Predictable in most respects. Comfortable way to earn a living.
Cons
I got the sense that the functional organizations exist primarily to ensure their own survival. Pfizer, like all other major pharmas is attempting to re-invent itself and to spring from its past with a new beginning in emerging markets. I have little faith that Pfizer, with its immense weight of passive-aggressive functional immobility will prove to be sufficiently lean to thrive in the new world of true competition.
