Pros

About the best pay you can get in the medical field without a degree.

Cons

Poor management, methods that waste time and any other resource you can think of, have to bargain for time off to suit the needs of the department, forced to take weekdays off at the beginning of the month, but have to sacrifice weekends or vacation time to make up for it. Horrible pay raises - 2% across the board ANNUALLY. No respect or appreciation for hard work. Enforcement of policies is very inconsistent. There are people who should've been fired for various reasons LONG ago, but continue to blatantly violate policies and they get away with it.

Pros

If you have nothing else, and know someone who works there, as long as you don't fail the drug test you WILL get hired. The pay and benefits aren't bad and you get lots of overtime.

Cons

You're required to work overtime half the month, and the other half, they tell you you can't work. The job itself isn't terrible, though it is boring, it's mostly the management that makes it a bad place to work. Senior level executives turn over every couple years, and as a result upper and mid-level management carve out little empires in which they do whatever they want. Managerial communication is nil, the concept of employee morale is actively ignored, and in general, you're treated like a serf.

Pros

Remote positions Not much else good to say

Cons

Since going public and total leadership change I would never recommend. Micromanaged Underpaid Shamed for time off Very reactionary to what’s best for company stock vs its pts or employees. Terrible benefits Toxic culture Implanted Humana leadership group since going public Doesn’t support employee creativity.
