Pros

The pay is decent for what I am currently doing working as a per diem employee. There are no benefits associated with being a per diem employee. I work under them but out of a Kindred Hospital location. I do like their pay structure for per diem employees.

Cons

I don't like that you are not paid overtime for working beyond 8 hours in a given day. I also don't like that you're not paid time and a half for working holidays.

Pros

Excellent physical environmental for a pharmacy--no direct patient contact, no workplace exposure to illness (beyond what coworkers bring in), my location followed fairly standard business hours so the work schedule was good

Cons

Corporate is disconnected from the realities of pharmacy work. The company is run by business people, not pharmacists, and it shows. They care more about profits than patient care. IT and the computer software are horrific and force more work-arounds than actual work. Quite often, when problems arise, an email from IT states the situation magically resolved itself. There are always last-minute admits, forcing overtime.

Treated like Children. Workload is too much for just a handful of people working daily. Doesn't want to hire more help
