Pros

There are lots of good people working there excluding most of the management team.

Cons

Where to begin.... First of all don't fall for the tricks that the HR department shows. Once you get on board the you see what a poor company this really is. All management are related to the owner and have no idea what there doing running their departments. Even consultants that come in to help with different projects say the same thing "I'm glad I can leave when I want and don't have to put up with this madness." Additionally, they say that they are a family oriented and strongly support the work life balance but its all a sham. I would not recommend an enemy to work here.

Pros

Phenomenex is a place where a person without experience in the private sector can see firsthand how dishonesty and unethical business practices can earn some people money, but does not lead to a satisfying career.

Cons

Management is completely untrustworthy and rarely does one get rewarded with the prize that was originally offered.

Pros

Employees - despite the many, many, downfalls of this company, they somehow manage to hire talented people with great attitudes (but it's probably due to the scarcity of life science jobs in the LA area). Even then, though, these people soon leave because Phenomenex is notorious for underpaying employees. Don't let the fake reviews fool you...it's absolutely true that they pay well below industry averages.

Cons

They claim to be making an active effort in improving employee development, but it's really a clever way to try and exploit ambitious workers. They do this by piling on added job duties and responsibilities without giving even a mention to increasing pay. In reality, they're just taking advantage of employees, avoiding hiring much needed personnel, and protecting their bottom line.
