Pros

Good benefits free medical benefits and tuition reimbursement , low lay starting but it increases every year 2x ( union and yearly progressional raise) Very organized place and good union & co workers. Nice place to work as long as you don’t have a vindictive supervisor. Most people are nice & the company care about your health.

Cons

Low pay starting but it increases as the years goes, 1 year probation period. Come to your house if you call out sick to verify. Mandated overtime if you have low seniority. Busy calls non stop. Call center manager don’t care if you have issues he won’t say much better off going straight to the union who stands up for you. Although it is opportunities to move up hard to move up fast due to seniority.

Pros

There are often new and exciting challenges that will test your creativity and skills. By working at PGW you gain a sense of fulfillment. The work you perform every day helps with keeping over 500,000 customers' gas supply secure. You are a part of a team and everyone has the same goal. Benefits Pension plan

Cons

Shift work, Not a lot of room for advancement once you hit a certain level. But I guess this is true everywhere. Residency restrictions. (required to live within the confines of Philadelphia) No one gets 5 stars on reviews. Once the reviews are finished they are judged by people who do not work with the person getting reviewed. This leads to a disconnect and no one gets 5-star reviews. I've never even seen someone get a full 4-star review. Now, this wouldn't be a major issue except, your review and score directly affect your potential raise.
