Pros

Good company. Not too good on splurging on training, but lots of other benefits. Spread across Australia with offices in most major cities although concentrated on the East coast in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne with the biggest office being in Sydney. Good remunerations that typically consist of Philips branded products at reduced pricing, Car, ability to work from home and other deals with outside companies.

Cons

Lots of office politics between different departments and regions. Centralising services into asia. Plenty of travel.

Pros

Colleagues are smart and full of good and innovative ideas. It has a strong presence in medical devices and business units seem to be doing well. As a result, there are potential outlets to transform innovative ideas into real products and positively impact people's lives and well-being.

Cons

Like many R&D organizations inside big companies, it seems to be very difficult to get funding from business units to perform applied research and development. Very frustrated with the team lead whose mind wasn't on doing his work or leading his team. The company was OK with that though. Maybe I was just unlucky.
