      Pros

      - Philips has a long history of caring for it's employees and the community. - The new focus on Health and a separate Lighting business makes good strategic sense. - Good remuneration - Excellent, high quality products - Strong vision and values

      Cons

      - Too much consensus-building needed to get things done - Overly complex matrix organization - Transformation fatigue, as there are too many global programs to improve things that are still ongoing - Too many Dutch expats in key positions, less focus on local or international talent

      Pros

      I am working in Philips since 2009. What I like in Philips is that you are free to share your opinion with managers. If you perform, the company invests on you both in terms of responsibilities and in terms of learning. Salaries are competitive but not the highest in the industry.

      Cons

      There's too much of politic. The company doesn't grow and doesn't move fast enough compared to the market. It takes ages to take each decision. If you wanna apply for an internal vacancy you need a sponsor, otherwise no one will call you up for an interview.
