Pros

Freedom to take initiative and cross-train. Encouragement from supervisors to learn, but then no follow through on using the new knowledge in a new position.

Cons

Lack of mobility. Lack of assistance from upper management on career options for most employees unless you are on the fast track.

Pros

Pay, benefits, new office building. There is some room to grow if you fit their model.

Cons

Good Ole boy club mostly. The company does a really poor job of attracting and promoting minorities. There are no people of color in Executive or BU level leadership positions. There seems to be no focus on developing diverse talent. The Bartlesville culture is alive and kicking in Houston.
