      Pros

      This review is dated - the plant I worked at shut down, and the company has new management. I have no pros to list pre-buyout. And I did not work for Pilgrim's after the buyout, so I have no input on that. NOT A REFLECTION OF CURRENT MANAGEMENT. I believe in fair reviews, so it's important to note that this might not be reflective of current employee experiences.

      Cons

      Culture was very confrontational - a lot of finger pointing and accusations. If there was a problem, it was more important to assign blame than it was to solve the problem.

      They offer good health benefits.

      Cons

      They work you like a slave, give last minute notice on when you are required to work overtime. There is no room for advancement and no room for a life outside of work. They try to find a way to fire you if you get sick on the job.
