Pros

National presence Low-stress atmosphere Employees have a degree of self-management if not empowerment

Cons

Poor compensation Extremely precarious future Low employee value Very little chance for advancement Middle-Management is extremely indifferent to those under them. Too much complacency has set in but the acquisition by JBS, Brazil will shake things up tremendously.

Pros

The benefits were fair overall, and comparable to those offered in the industry. Salaries were on the low side for comparable positions until one reached the corporate level, then they made a quantum leap.

Cons

Everything was micro-managed from the corporate level, even the lowest plant jobs. This left little room for individuality, or individual innovation. Everything had to go through corporate and that was very cumbersome.

Pros

The health benefits were pretty good.

Cons

The company was very cheap, the managers micro-managed and would not take accountability for their mistakes. Getting reinbursed for travel expenses was like pulling teeth.
