      Pros

      Pilot is a small to midsize company with about 400 employees. Even though we are not huge we have a decent global footprint. In my current position I have been able to operate on the global stage as well as the domestic stage. Since this is a smaller company you tend to wear a lot of hats and gain more exposure in situations where you are fulfilling multiple roles. If your goal is to grow and feel like you are a part of the company's success then this is a perfect fit.

      Cons

      Some downsides to the size of the company is the lack of support. In certain situations your department may not received the proper resources simply because Pilot is not big enough. They will try their best to assist but will sometimes come up short. Also if you are in a lower level position or do not have a specialty degree like chemistry, engineering, or accounting you will find it difficult to move up and around. You have to make a concerted effort to move into new roles at this company.

      Pros

      Pilot pays competitively and has a small-ish business culture with a medium sized benefits package. The company generally does very well financially, typically have had zero layoffs, job security is high. Work-life balance was very good.

      Cons

      Diversity was nil, culture/politics was a bit toxic, but my immediate manager was awesome so my 2 years there were good to me, and helped me recover my career after a lay off from big business. However, at the 2 year mark I wanted something more, and somewhere that celebrated diversity as a focus.
