Pros
Opportunity to provides services to job seekers by helping them get back into the workforce after lay-offs, company closures or re-entry into the workforce. Being able to assist employers recruiting qualified candidates for employment opportunities. Providing training opportunities to qualified job seekers to upgrade skills or transition into new careers. Assisting all levels of job seekers i.e. professionals, para-professionals, skilled trades, adults, youth and mature workers to attain their goals and succeed in obtaining employment and self sufficiency.
Cons
Can be stressful when the economy is down and more and more individuals are out of work and fewer companies are hiring. Workers in this industry must be able to keep an open mind and understand the barriers that unemloyed individuals may have. Concerns about funding are always in the forefront as government spending to support these type of programs can fluctuate.
