Pros

Remote work was much appreciated

Cons

No training; lack of diversity; poor management. 67% of employees are 20-30. And white. Very white. The Inclusion and Diversity team was recently gutted. Black employees were fired. Older employees fired.

Pros

Flexibility to work from anywhere is nice but that’s about it

Cons

My optimism towards this company has progressively been going downhill. I feel at times like a chess piece in this so called “collaborative” work environment. I have 10+ years working in tech and this place by far is the most toxic, disingenuous place I’ve ever worked at. Pinterest is perceived to be a positive ”corner” on the internet but wow, do I feel the opposite as an employee. Not much conversation around growth but more about how much I can produce. Comp restructuring is still confusing and unfair. Seems like the favorites got promotions over others. Team morale is really low and it seems as though everyone is chugging along, stroking egos just to keep their job. Product is still very buggy. Nothing much has changed and it feels like we’re falling behind. I don’t think much progress will be made.

Pros

- Tons of fun activities that you can sign up for - Pay is competitive

Cons

- Discriminatory practices: Pinterest requires each role to interview a certain amount of people from "under represented groups" but, don't want to necessary hire them. They will hire you just to make excuses to why you didn't meet the mark. I promise that you can do everything right, work long hours, be a "team player" and still get cut. Diversity & Inclusion is a joke! It's disgusting. Please be careful if you don't classify as "White" or "Asian". Please look them up before deciding, I wish I had. - A lot of meetings - Micro management
