      Pinflex WFH – no RTO requirements for tech roles Decent base salary compared to similar-sized tech co's

      Cons

      Stock price has tanked No product strategy - just AI wrapper features and copying competitors Limited agency: day-to-day is driven by escalations from middle management looking to save face with their superiors. Then those same managers later blame their directs for not doing valuable work.

      A meaningful mission paired with the opportunity to tackle complex, large-scale engineering problems.

      Cons

      -> Relationships now outweigh skills, talent, and actual results — meritocracy feels increasingly eroded (who you are friends with is more important than anything else). -> People are often supportive to your face, yet act differently behind the scenes. -> Strong talent has either left, been pushed out, or burned out under unsustainable pressure. -> At the same time, the company missed the AI inflection point, prioritizing short-term optics over long-term strategy. -> I was laid off without explanation or reason or PIP, lost years of near-vesting equity, and received no severance.

      Pros

      Best work culture I've experienced so far, colleagues are collaborative and understanding. Very supportive manager and team in helping you increase scope and impact (and compensation). also supportive in your career growth. Great work benefits. RSU refreshers are typically generous. Flexible working model (no RTO requirements), and flexible schedules (no one's going to be breathing down your neck or micro-manage your time).

      Cons

      Need greater product diversification (we only really have the one platform). Stock prices not doing so well. Some perks are going away (PinCon/KnitCon).
