      Pros

      Small company you get experience in all facets of aircraft manufacture.

      Cons

      Management, manufacturing side is less than desirable. Human resource management is shameful. Poor pay. Expect long hours without compensation. No recognition. Minimal support. Overall very poor operation (cannot afford proper equipment) a frayed shoestring of an operation.

      Management and Senior Leadership is Sinking the Ship

      Great workforce made up of genuine, honest and good people!

      Managers, Directors and above don't have a clue and promote all the wrong ideas and people.

      Consider It A Temporary Job With Benefits.

      Pros

      The benefits this company offers are great. They have regularly scheduled health screening and wellness functions. Employees are kept informed of any impending production schedule changes.

      Cons

      I have been downsized twice. In 2001 after 2 years, and 2009 after 4 years. Training in the plant is extremely poor. You have to be in the clique to receive any performance enabling training. The reason for the poor training seems to stem from the fact that Piper downsizes every 5 years on average. Your co-workers would rather point fingers to secure their place at the table come downsizing time. All this fits in line with the fact that Piper is the largest employer in Vero Beach, Florida. Management's general attitude is "your lucky just to have this job."
