Pros

Money, and the cost of living adjustment in MN was great.

Cons

The work life balance. MD's constantly pitching "bad" deals.

Pros

Great people working at the company who genuinely care about your well-being. A lot of support from your managers. Great benefits included as well.

Cons

Sometimes the work can be demanding, and there was a lot of time sensitive duties that could spurt up at once. Also a lot of daily duties on top of that, so some days could be quite stressful. Only left to pursue opportunities in a different field (software development).

Pros

The bankers in the Minneapolis office have a really laid-back attitude, which is unusual to find in an investment banking environment. Everyone facilitates your development and learning experiences, and takes concern to your growth, development, an work-life balance.

Cons

Long hours (inherent in the industry). HR and the senior bankers really stress the work-life balance, and try to follow new policies implemented regarding no work after 12pm on Fridays, protected weekends, etc. but it rarely pans out.
