Pros

The pay and benefits at Pitney Bowes are good. Management is trying to be transparent with the direction of the company. The training is excellent.

Cons

A company trying to stay relevant in the market. New management is struggling with determining who Pitney Bowes is. The strategy appears to change constantly with no clear direction.

Pros

Average base pay. Shelton facility has a cafeteria and medical center.

Cons

Management will micromanage you to no end. They listen on your calls and are very mistrusting of all employees. This is because they have set such unrealistic expectations for their staff that they are desperate to meet metrics. They change the compensation plan every year to ensure that they are paying less. There isn't flexibility with time off as so many days are blacked out and only two people can take time off at a time on each team which is quite large so good luck getting the days off you want. Management is corrupt. Rumors of cocaine and pill popping are not unheard of on the sales floor as well as rumors that a manager has stolen large amounts of money in gift cards which were originally intended for the sales staff. You even hear about a sales rep selling drugs to their management as well. This is the culture that you will find here. Want to make sure that you get paid your commissions? Good luck. It is very hard to decipher. You constantly hear about people not getting paid on products that are not shipped even though they closed the sale, making them miss specific tiers. There is not much room for moving up. The road near the building does not get plowed very well which makes it hard when the managers want you to drive in and won't allow you to take a snow day.
