Great work life balance. Software's Senior Management really believes in removing impediments from its engineering groups. Solid benefits. Pay is good not great. Company values hiring within so they are many opportunities for upper or sideways movement.

Cons

It is large company so change takes longer than in a smaller company so one has to be a little bit patience. Occasionally there is a bit too much red tape, although that has been dimishing over time. The engineering groups are distributed all across the word. So on projects, team members are not necessarily co-located. It is less than ideal - but it does provide benefits such as global perspective that compensates for some of it.
