Pros

Several good-hearted co-workers help the day go by.??The top boss at the location and another management position really do care about what is going on. I sense they are very sincere. If the machines are functioning, the day goes by quickly.

Cons

If the machines are NOT functioning, the day is a pain. The wide variety of insurance choices I had when I started have disappeared this year. Very slow to change. Top-heavy, HQ micro-management. Mail processing machines are poorly maintained. Paper adhesive labels and rubber bands, I am NOT kidding, are poor substitutes for steel springs and other OEM machine parts. Annual "raises" are practically meaningless. Pay is half or less than half that of a U.S. postal worker for the same position. (I have relatives who have retired from the USPS.) When the raise is "approved", it is a couple months late and applied retroactively. Poor dental coverage - only the most basic services are covered affordably. (Delta Dental out of New Jersey for employees in Minnesota at least - seems strange.) Only the most basic services are covered affordably. The top boss at the location and another management position sometimes are not aware of what is going on, I believe. Example, very uneven allocation of overtime hours; The same few employees are allowed a full forty hours, plus overtime, plus holiday pay - all in one pay period, while the majority have their hours cut below forty.......including weeks without a holiday. How "coincidental" that these same employees are related (married).?? Unprofessional, public humiliation of some employees. If an employee is not following policy, such as late to work numerous times, then deal with them in a professional manner. Do not "make" them stand in the middle during a meeting.
