This company is ok. I have worked here for four years as a dock worker and I can only say that it is ok at best.

Pros

The best reason to work here is that as of now, the company is experiencing a large amount of growth each year. They have been giving out raises each year lately and are making an effort to provide some form of advancement for dock works to become truck drivers. This company also provides 100% paid health insurance which is unheard of at the current state of our economy.

Cons

The downside is that it's a crapy job. You work out in the freezing cold all winter, including -32 degree wind chills without any heaters going to warm you up, and in the heat in summer. Not only that, but if your a good worker, your expected to do more than others because your not useless as others are. Which is true at any work place.

This job will give me time to go back to online schooling and provide me with enough money to pay for things I will need along the way.

Cons

No major cons when it comes to dock working. I have worked 55-60 hour shifts for the past 2 years. The only con I have is the amount of time I am sitting in a forklift.

Health benefits are great, vacation as well. free parking in Pittsburgh

Cons

The work load is heavy. you will take 60-80 calls a day and manage email requests, while being on the phone at the same time. there is always a catch. Environment is polite. if you worked as a csr in the trucking industry before, their systems will be an upgrade. If not, then it will be a confusing mess to you when you start out.
