Interesting project, great colleagues, worst company

Pros

- Great colleagues - Market leader product

Cons

- Nonexistent management and communication - Pay is far below market value - Lot's of great people leaving - Technology stack is stale - No CTO, non-technical management is pushing their technology ideas - Sweeping changes from one month to another. Everything that was presented to me during the interview process completely changed 4 months after joining

We did a worldwide Employee Engagement Survey, gathered the observations, ideas and suggestions from the employees. Exciting industry but boring company

Pros

Working in an industry that makes a difference (drone mapping). The company is also leader in this market.

Cons

On the human side, management and communication is erratic, whereas on the technical side, it look like everything is stalled (hence 'boring'), all mixed with a constant re-structuring atmosphere. Consequence of this is a lot of good employees leaving.

Great colleagues, interesting technology, poor leadership

Pros

- Team environment. It very much depends on the team and manager you have to work with. Some are great, some are less. - Interesting tech and tools - Good working environment and office - Good and strong base of customers

Cons

- Lack of company culture. - Your capacity to grow will mainly depend on your manager. If you are lucky, you will progress; if not, you will stagnate and leave. - Constant strategic changes. You may work for months on a project only to have it cancelled for no clear reason. - Fear of communicating feedback to management. If you do, you may be asked to leave. - Middle managers struggle. Many are not competent and have no idea how to - manage people. - Directors seem overwhelmed and have reached their level of incompetence. CEO micromanage and doesn't now focus enough on growing the business. - Customers are too often forgotten or ignored in business decisions. - You are asked a lot, but you are given little, including rewards and thanks.
