Pros

Software platform has great flexibility, even if it is underutilized and documentation is non-existent because no one is left who understands it beyond surface level set up.

Cons

Intense personality politics, favoritism, and massively negative culture that views ‘low level’ roles as not engaged enough and incapable. Poor support overall from management. All the good management is too overworked to make time for you- whoever does have time has too much of it, and will micromanage what they do not understand into the ground while framing it as cost effective improvements for personal promotions. All that you will get laughed out the door for even thinking about a raise for taking on three+ roles (and more as time persists) as one person. Very unsupportive of people who need any kind of accommodation.

Pros

My team is generally great. Leadership does a great job of making you feel like a number, and as though you are lesser than.

Cons

Disjointed leaders, selective enforcement of job expectations and company policies, no accountability among middle management. Promotions rarely occur, only outside hires. Below market pay, constant flip flopping from middle management on priorities and initiatives. Pressure to not take PTO and when you call out sick your leader will ask of you can still monitor your email.
