      Management intimidation

      Pros

      Work from home is available. Snacks and coffee are free.

      Cons

      Lay offs are consistent here. Employees are not valued - they burn them out with too much work and then get rid of them. Everyone else has to pick up the work as it doesn’t go away. Feels like all they are interested in is the money. Management/VP/C suite do not care and do not spend any time with the employees to know what is going on. High turnover with them too - but most need to go. Looks like they do not not know what is going on and managing with a trial and error outlook. Management intimidation and abuse of the workers is rampant.

Regarding workload, the pandemic has created new challenges for our customers and for our employees that serve them. We encourage you to raise your specific concerns about the volume of work with your manager — or reach out to a member of the Talent team directly if you prefer. As we continue to work to support our customers and meet their evolving needs, we want all our employees to have the tools and resources they need to succeed. Like many companies, we recently had to make some extremely difficult decisions. These were not taken lightly and we did everything we could to take care of the impacted employees during their transition, including providing extended severance and medical insurance benefits. In closing, we respect your opinion, we want to address your specific concerns right away, and we encourage you to reach out to our Talent team because some of your comments imply that you may be misinformed in several areas and we would welcome the opportunity to discuss those with you.       Pros

      PlanSource is all about growth and development, not only for the company itself but for each individual employee. We are seen as individual contributors and we are provided opportunities to succeed and show our potential with guidance from an esteemed management team. It's exciting to see the company go through changes & growth throughout the years. The executive leadership team has always been transparent and honest about the direction we are heading and they have always communicated the reasons a strategic decision may have been made. Work/life balance is at top importance & management encourages it. This also relates to the culture and values that are encouraged at PlanSource - we are a work family that support each other to achieve greatness in this industry!

      Cons

      Any growing company is going to feel and experience growing pains but it does not reflect the overall company mission or values. There is slight disconnect amongst departments when processes change or new processes are implemented.

      Best job of my career

      Pros

      When I joined the company nearly three years ago, we had lots of growing pains. However, the leadership listened to the employees and worked very hard to improve critical areas like recruiting, on-boarding, compensation plans, etc. Then, when we were purchased by Vista a year ago, we started to see even more improvements to help us grow as individuals and as a company. Dayne Williams and his leadership team are everything. Our leadership, including Vista, care about the growth and success of this company. And they know that if you take care of the employees, the employees step up and deliver. We still have a few growing pains, but I see us working daily to make improvements for the employees and our customers. No joke - for me - best job I have had in my entire career.

      Cons

      Today we are still working on capacity planning just like every other company in our industry (seasonal business). Our implementation process has been an issue in the past but we have a new leader in place who is making daily improvements. Still short-staffed in some areas but our recruiters are working very hard to fill those positions before our busiest season. Failure to do so will but extra strain on our existing team.
