Pros

Planet DDS is a growth company with a significant and recent funding round. This means a lot of hiring over the next few years. The company has a proven platform of dental software solutions and a strong customer base including more 10,000 dental practice locations across North America. The employee base includes a lot of team members with experience working in dental practices who bring knowledge and understanding of those we are here to help. A great set of operating values and an empowering mission: "Unleashing dentists and their staff to focus on patient care"

Cons

High growth companies can be high change environments. This includes processes that are continuing to be developed and infrastructure still needing to be built. If you are considering a move to a growth company, it may offer fewer of the expected standard benefits that you might have received at a prior company. Fortunately, Planet DDS is moving quickly to provide these upgrades, including new employee training and new manager training programs.

You have the ability to work from home if you live further away from one of the hubs.

Cons

Management closely monitors employees' daily activities to the point that it feels like every moment of your workday is being tracked, creating an environment that lacks trust and autonomy. Employees are frequently assigned additional roles and responsibilities without corresponding increases in pay or benefits. Those who express concerns or push back against these expectations often feel singled out, as management appears to make examples of employees who do not readily comply.

Best company I've ever worked for

Pros

The company culture here is amazing. Every company has their value statements, but I've never worked for a company that actually lives and acts by them. Success is rewarded, failures are learning experiences, and trying new things is celebrated. The CEO has lead leadership trainings, and the company has offered numerous development programs over the years I've been here. The swag is pretty cool too.

Cons

In the past, changing processes had been frequent and there had been many growing pains with the acquisition of several other companies all needing to be integrated together but much of this has subsided with new leadership roles created and a strong operations team.
