      Pros

      Sony is a large company with lots of hardware and software opportunities, people coming into Sony are excited to be part of what could be an amazing place for innovation within design and engineering.

      Cons

      Massive amount of blocking from self-promoting management on ideas and innovation. Most people leave within a year, them that stay are locked by political handcuffs.

      Pros

      It's an easy job. It is considered experience in the video game field. Casual dress.

      Cons

      This is only as a QA tester. Intimidated into working overtime. It was alluded to that you would lose your job if you opt out (which I did after 6 straight months of doing it). Overtime was, and is common to be 12 hours a day 6 days a week and an 8 hour shift on Sundays. I was diagnosed with carpal tunnel issues in both of my wrists due to this overtime but was still asked to do the overtime as soon as the doctor released me.

      Going in the right direction, but under resourced

      Pros

      Leadership is going in the right direction. Generally people who work there are neighborly even when they are being political. The company is working on improving on several fronts including inclusion and they are getting better. Personally, I like the work I do.

      Cons

      Internal support teams are under resourced. In order to hit your deadlines or achieve quality work, you really need to hustle for weeks and months on end. Management is aware. Middle management could be stronger at managing projects and dependencies.
