Pros

Mission-Driven Innovation: It's a privilege to work at a tech company that prioritizes reducing screen time and promoting real-life health and fitness experiences. Playlist embodies the "anti-tech tech company" ethos, focusing on enhancing well-being through technology. Inspiring Leadership: The leadership team is truly inspiring, providing a clear and compelling direction for the company's future. Their vision fosters a sense of purpose and alignment across all teams. Strategic Partnerships: Playlist is a strategic and aligned partner to its customers and collaborators, ensuring that all initiatives are mutually beneficial and forward-thinking. Positive Workplace Culture: The company culture promotes growth, impact, and a meritocratic environment where contributions are recognized and valued. Commitment to Wellness: By focusing on reducing screen time and encouraging physical activity, Playlist aligns with broader health guidelines that recommend limiting recreational screen time to improve overall well-being.

Cons

Hard to switch off because the mission is so exciting and the opportunities are so large!

Pros

The vast majority of my coworkers were exceptional and overall very positive and uplifting day to day. The time off (which you must diligently claim), built-in holidays, and benefits were amazing. Lots of extra perks sprinkled throughout the year. Mindbody used to be a company that walked its talk with staff regarding wellness.

Cons

Many positions are being offshored under the guise of globalization or replaced with AI. Aside from sales and very specialized roles, it is hard to find a position based in the U.S. Since Fritz became CEO, Mindbody has become more and more of a typical Corporate American company with annoying metrics. Receiving training and onboarding as an employee is a mixed bag.
