Pros

• Some genuinely great colleagues who are passionate and collaborative — though many don’t stay long. • If you can endure long enough, promotions tend to happen — often based on time served rather than skill or leadership capability. • Occasional flexibility, but entirely manager-dependent.

Cons

• The company is in a state of relentless restructuring. Every few months, high-performing and valuable team members are laid off, often replaced with cheaper resources, creating a climate of fear and instability. • Leadership turnover is STAGGERING. The CEO has changed THREE times in the past year, and executive leadership roles seem to rotate every quarter. This lack of continuity has eroded any real sense of direction or trust. • Once respected, people first leaders have been replaced by those who seem more focused on optics than actual employee well being. • Major decisions are dictated solely by the US headquarters, with no regard for local teams or long term impact, it feels like a top down command culture. • The leadership often presents a warm and friendly face, but that warmth disappears the moment you’re no longer seen as “cost effective.” You’re replaced, forgotten, and your contributions disregarded. • Promotions are often given based on tenure, not merit leading to unqualified individuals managing teams and creating toxic or inefficient work environments. Do some fact checking with previous employees before falling for some sweet talk and joining the sinking ship.

Pros

Really talented people Unlimited PTO Summer fridays

Cons

Used to be great, but lots of layoffs and turn over. It’s hard to make progress when you’re constantly rebuilding Way too many meetings and poor work life balance despite unlimited PTO

Pros

Smart, talented and genuinely good people, mainly at the individual contributor level Okay benefits, and a remote-first culture, for now

Cons

Layoffs happen so often that no one feels secure. Talented, well-liked colleagues leave regularly, some by choice, many not Since the company was acquired and subsequently written off, effectively valuing it at zero, layoffs have been driven almost entirely by financial decisions, rather than performance The workforce strategy has remained the same for the last couple of years: terminate those with high salaries, replace them with cheaper, less experienced talent, and repeat. There's also a new and noticeable gender bias, though it's rarely addressed Leadership no longer prioritizes engagement or employee well-being. People are afraid to speak up, and reporting issues to employee relations can backfire As for the five-star reviews? Many are written because employees are encouraged or asked to post them. They don't reflect what’s going on

Pluralsight Response

Thank you for sharing your perspective. I’m sorry to hear that you’ve had such a negative experience during your time at Pluralsight. Over the past couple years we’ve been going through a transformation to right-size our business and meet the needs of where we are now. This transformation has come with a lot of change and I acknowledge that that can be frustrating and hard. I want to stress that raising concerns should never feel unsafe. If any team member feels that their voice is not being heard or that retaliation could occur, we want to know immediately. Those behaviors are not something we tolerate. If you do not feel comfortable bringing issues to your People Business Partner, we also have an anonymous Ethics Helpline that you can access through Life@PS. To your point regarding five-star reviews, requesting team member reviews is a common practice and we often encourage team members to do so. However, leaving a review is always voluntary and we never seek out positive or inauthentic reviews. If we request team member reviews, we are clear that we are seeking honest reviews about their experiences. Employee experience and well-being are a top priority for my team and one of our company-wide goals. We know our people are important and we’re continuing to build a culture where our team members feel valued and supported. Your review states that you’re a current team member; if you feel like you’re not getting the support you need or have concerns you need to raise, please utilize that hotline. You can also feel free to reach out to me directly, my door is always open. Beckey Woodard Cole Chief People Officer
