Pros

OK pay, but it really depends on your initial offer and how visible your team is.

Cons

- Career development is minimal unless you're in a high-visibility or Poland-based team. After years in a US-based team, I had no clear growth plan. - Outdated & short-sighted tech decisions and lack of long-term technical vision. - People were brought in with questionable skill levels for higher positions, which impacted morale and fairness. - Some interns remained for years without structured paths to full-time roles. - Foreigners in Warsaw office were finding it very hard to connect and network. - Advancement is driven more by internal politics and visibility than by actual performance. A tight-knit internal clique limits opportunities for those outside of it. - Senior leadership in Warsaw was often visible only to favored teams/people. In several years at the company, me and my team were ignored constantly.

Pros

Team coordination and office culture is good. People is friendly and nice to talk.

Cons

Cumbersome approval cycle: The lengthy sign-off process for frontline developers significantly hinders productivity. Legacy technology burden: Many teams still use outdated, non-portable tech stacks. Because large portions of the codebase are old, developers spend the bulk of their time on maintenance, limiting promotion opportunities and diverting resources from high-value projects. Limited innovation latitude: Ideas that stray from management’s established roadmap face a low acceptance rate. The culture prioritises rapid execution of predefined tasks, leaving developers in a predominantly tooling role rather than an innovative one.
