Pros

- You get to pick your own cases and hours. - BCBAs and BCaBAs are competent and care about RBT's and clients. - Decent hourly compensation. - Frequent supervision. - Free CEUs.

Cons

- Lots of drive time between clients. - Extreme difficulty in reaching upper management. May take weeks. There's no in-person office or way to hold them accountable. - May take months to actually start on a case. - Feelings of isolation from co-workers due to going alone into school or home environments. - Frequent client cancellations with no compensation. - Losing clients on a dime due to insurance issues. Having to notify upper management of this myself to find cases to replace my hours.
