Pros

Great patients and some of the best co-workers. Clean facilities.

Cons

Lack of support from higher management, high productivity but expectations to go above and beyond as well, lack of support for continuing education, lack of flexibility for vacation time.

Pros

Co-workers, residents and families, lots of available shifts and overtime. Residents are very appreciative of the care they do receive.

Cons

Upper management, most of the dedicated long term staff members have already left, They leave nursing shifts un-staffed and assume( or force) the previous shift staff will just work over. Benefits are expensive and HORRIBLE!! Vacations are frequently denied to the floor staff, but management staff take extended holiday vacations and are seldom ever in the facility. Families and residents are frustrated because no one is there to hear and respond to their questions and concerns. The quality of care is very poor but no one will speak up for fear of being fired, like other employees who previously voiced concerns or complaints. I guess there's job security for management when they're married to other management staff though, so they don't have to worry about actually providing good care and food. Sad to watch a good building fall so far and so fast. Staff is often told, "If you don't like it, go get another job down the street." That's the best advice I could give to anyone thinking of working for this company.

Pros

Lots of opportunity for growth with so many locations. Lots of peers for references and support.

Cons

Grew too much too fast when it went public. Too much pressure from higher ups to make money as a building, constantly asking building administrators to give back money in the form of employees, hours worked, purchases, etc. Genuinely does not care about employees' happines in the workplace. Company never hesitates to cut corners and take away necessary resources. Poor reputation is unfortunately deserved. Poor health benefits. No matching in 401k. Past three years of raises were $0.25/hr, 2%, and most recently 1.5%, all were across the board, not based on performance.
