Pros

Cutting edge technology and tools for an engineer. Emphasis on fundamental physics, as long as it fits within the budget. Great place to learn the basics. Staff is either old, very experienced, and inflexible or young, some experience, and willing to toe the old gaurd line.

Cons

New ideas are not what they work with - it's the old "This is the way we do it" from standard work. Which makes technology development awkward.

Pros

Excellent benefits, 100% college courses paid for plus UTC shares on degree completion, excellent engineering standards and environment; great leadership team at upper management levels.

Cons

too much administrative focus, but this is expected at a company of this size.
