Pros

The accounting department in which I worked did a great job communicating and worked together in getting things done in the most efficient way.

Cons

It's a cut-throat environment that does not offer mentoring and training. You better be ready to go and be an expert in your field. Mistakes are not allowed. I over looked one line item in a 150 row journal entry, it was for a minimal amount of money but it was a mistake, that mistake was documented and it was my first week on the job. I interviewed online and I noticed during that interview that I was looking kind of slender, looking good but in reality I am obese. I would normally never say this but I felt discriminated against. The first time I met my boss in person it was for a brief informal meeting with the department and I was friendly and went to sit with her and she said, nope you don't need to sit by me and moved seats. I volunteered and worked on Saturday of my first week of employment packing up storage files and I felt lightheaded after a few hours of work and sat down, she happened to see this and told me if I am going to sit then I need to go home. I said, I just need a minute, I am not feeling good at the moment. Her reply, well you need to go home. She would not take no for an answer until I left. During training I moved the mouse to follow her directive and the cursor moved ever so slightly towards a link that I was told not to click and she adamantly reprimanded me as she thought I was going to click the link. It wasn't even close. She also gave me many tasks to do that only someone with specific internal information would be able to complete. This was the most shocking work experience of my life and I hear am not the only one that has gone through things like this with this accounting department. What is wrong with these people! Do not work here......RUN

Pros

You’ll be employed, albeit short term, with somewhat decent pay and benefits.

Cons

You’ll quickly find out human capital is added/eliminated on a quarterly basis to make the numbers and NO ONE outside of Management and Finance is safe. If you like to be overworked with no job security this lace is for you. Warren Buffet lost 10 BILLION on this company, have at it if you think you’ll fare any better.

Pros

Pay? I had 2 days off every other week. If intimidation and tantrums sound like a business plan over training and goal setting…have I got a place for you!

Cons

Manage by intimidation and tantrums, Why train when you can develop a culture where information and data must be fought for or weaponized. People worked harder at covering their tracks or blame-shifting than solving corporate issues. Stepped over dollars to pick up pennies.
