Sigh…

Pros

They’re trying (insert shoulder shrug?)

Cons

No growth opportunities A LOT of politics No transparency No Communication All hands meetings are misleading, when the CEO says “everything is fine, everything is good,” and then you get a recorded message a few weeks later stating “we’re doing layoffs and people are being notified now.”

Pros

COVID made them realize work from home is a viable option... Management "listens"... See cons.

Cons

Management listens, but doesn't hear you. They just pay us lip service. Keep promising that things will get better and year after year it just keeps getting worse. Used to actually work with my customers. Now we're just monkeys turning wrenches. We started doing "agile," and it has made delivering even the smallest tasks next to impossible. Countless hours wasted talking/arguing about 20 minutes of work. And then mountains of paperwork follow to accomplish the work. Premera has made a shift from political neutrality and is pushing further and further left as an organization, attempting to indoctrinate employees. The only "workplace violence prevention" training that was offered was actually active shooter training, a decidedly uncommon event in the world. No training on how to deal with difficult personalities in the conference room, or what happens if someone gets angry and bops someone in the nose. There are new SJW articles on the intranet all the time, often misrepresenting the facts of events. There's no opportunity for getting a promotion, pay raises don't exist other than "cost of living" no matter what your performance is like. We had a random RIF recently and almost immediately re-staffed, but left the teams that were impacted hurting, the jobs were added elsewhere in the organization. Good people are leaving in droves, and with good reason. There's zero confidence in leadership. Annual OKRs/goals came out with literally unachievable objectives. Not lofty, unachievable. They're setting us up to fail.

Pros

Work from home capability, however $40.00 a month stipend when my phone and internet bill is $150 per month with no cable. also has never increased even though my bills do every year.

Cons

High stress, very unhealthy job. This position requires you to sit at a desk tied to a head set your entire shift. There is not only stress from customers yelling at you all day but also from the rediculous standards management expects from you. They time your bathroom breaks and expect you to work projects but won't allow you off the phone time to complete tasks. The passport to perks is becoming a joke, this year it gave me a $1.00 discount on silverwood tickets and the passport to perks app keeps closing out, so that $1.00 in savings cost me more than a half hour dealing with the app. The perks/rewards when I started were ten times better than they are now. High turn over of employees
