Pros

People are great, lots of growth, pretty transparent, good pay, good communication, good support, telecommuting options within many positions. Premera cares about their customers and we are all customers.

Cons

Bring your lunch! Food is mediocre at best! Medical coverage (insurance) is only OK. Continue expanding telecommuting, if it is an option then it should be approved.

First, thank you for all you do to support our customers. You are absolutely right - our employees and support teams are the very best. When it comes to telecommuting, this can be more feasible in some areas versus others, but we appreciate the feedback. We welcome the opportunity for further discussion around both benefits and food options provided at Premera.

Pros

The people, professional development opportunities, flexibility, mid-management and vision toward the customer are what keep me excited about working here. Fantastic CEO with a powerful vision.

Cons

Leadership is not aligned on a single north star. Also not great acknowledgement of recent cultural impacts with layoffs and business decisions.

Location and a not too bad commute.

Cons

Back stabbing culture (management and senior leadership included!), pressure to work constantly, including while on medical leave and PTO, old versions of software

Working together, doing the right thing, and challenging convention are all values that are critical to Premera's culture. It is unfortunate to hear that your experience did not align with those values. Premera's culture is evolving and open communication across the organization is vital to the journey. We would like to clarify that employees are not to work while on continuous medical leave. In fact, Premera network access is suspended when an employee is on continuous medical leave.
