If you can get good at door to door sales, there isn't too much in the world that you probably can't sell. I was able to form good relationships with some homeowners and solving their problems was really fulfilling.

Cons

The business model has questionable ethics. Usually homeowners don't actually need a new roof but our supervisors were insistent that we sign them up any way. Support is limited but your supervisor will text/call/check your location to make sure that you are out there knocking doors 7 days a week. The guilt trip that they send you on if you want to take a weekend off is incredible. The actual roofing product that they put on is mediocre at best, I would encourage any rep to do their own objective research on the materials and crews that they use for their jobs, rather than just reading the marketing materials that they give to you. A solely commission based job means that your going to be subject to an intense income tax on anything that you do earn. Ask your supervisor about their sales rep turn over throughout a roofing season or about how many sales reps return for a second year, those numbers will speak for themselves. For some reason, a positive company culture is stressed a lot, but our team outings were more like a mandatory family game night than an actual fun way to blow off steam.

Additionally, we have an A+ rating with the BBB, have some of the best warranties in the business, and ensure that all projects are approved by insurance before production begins. We are also dedicated to using only the highest quality materials and the best shingles in the business. And while this position is not for everyone, good matches stay with Premier for years. We are sorry you had a negative experience.

Pros

Everyone who works here is here to work. Sounds obvious, but if you think about it, a lot of employees go to their job to count down the time until 5 pm. Premier employees genuinely care about the work they are doing, and everybody comes to the office with enthusiasm and a smile. Ben and Chris have created a company where high performance is expected - but it's a very work-hard, play-hard culture. Easily the best position I've ever worked in, I love it here, and I see no reason to leave any time soon.

Cons

Of the cons I have read about on these review websites, many are untrue or appear to be the thoughts of singular disgruntled past employees. It may seem unbelievable, but I have no complaints about my job or company. My manager is extremely competent, works with our team, and understands the stresses we may deal with. Our CEO has created a hardworking culture, with plenty of rewards/satisfaction provided to keep everyone more than content - in fact, we are all motivated to bust our butts day-to-day. The coworkers are great - everyone is happy to be here and you're met with a smile when you pass anyone in the hallway.
