East side clinic: There is a problem with nepotism and favoritism that has not been addressed even though it has caused the majority of their recent turnover in the medical staff, nursing staff and interpreter staff.
There is an issue with personal relationships that the administration of the clinic keep with their subordinates which make it so that opportunities for promotion are given only to those who are personally close to management.
This issue has been escalated to upper management but no changes are taking place.
The clinic is constantly undergoing role changes with little to no notice given to employees. Most recently, massive changes have been made to job descriptions that make non-medical staff have to take on medical staff functions like taking the vital signs of the patients.
No formal training or education or qualifications were obtained by the people performing these duties.
The organization is top heavy. There is a focus in hiring providers, but not hiring enough support staff to take on the increasing amount of tasks that come with caring for more patients. There is rampant burnout that plagues this organization and there is no sign of the administration wanting to address it.
There is a culture of being talked down to by the administration that has been allowed to grow. There is a focus on pointing out the negatives, while ignoring the positives. Additionally, public reprimands are the norm and lead to humiliation of staff members in front of their peers.
