Pros

The commissions were a great motivator for my team and myself. Very easy job for a recent college graduate. Ability to hire your own team

Cons

Was taught how to scam at&t out of money by manipulating customer account setting on my first day of training. Uneducated management. Boys club. Going home feeling guilty on a daily basis. Never received health insurance.

Pros

Decent pay compared to fast food industry and big box retail.

Cons

Basically a tool to allow AT&T to expand their retail footprint while not having to sully themselves with the PR hit that cutting wages and benefits would entail. Hours were completely unpredictable. Often we would be told there is a meeting the very next day and that we would have to reschedule our day off. Impossible to have any kind of life outside of work.

Pros

It is very decent pay at the management level or above without requiring a degree. But that's not saying very much. This review isn't going to be pretty.

Cons

Absolutely no real training for new hires. Their pay is right at minimum wage plus their commission which is also nominal. On the job training is performed by the store manager who also has to continue to do his daily duties. Staffing and planning ahead is non existent. When things go wrong, it all falls on the manager of that retail location both financially and responsibility. Reps are held to minimal sales goals which makes the manager that much more responsible for the entire store's numbers without any assistance. The manager might as well be working every day all the time to make sure the store is run properly. The "store manager" position should be paid more with all the responsibilities required of them. They must coach their team, supervise training, clean the store, organize and review paperwork, receive inventory, oh yea, and sell just like a rep! There really isn't a difference in store manager and retail rep other than the manager is paid a couple dollars more an hour and is held responsible for EVERYTHING. There is no responsibility on the retail sales reps at all. Upper management gets promoted or moved to new markets by their connections within the company. IT relations for store support is run out of Pakistan, and that is for INTERNAL support. Not customer support. I cannot understand them if they call the store and they usually break more on the system then they fix from lack of communication with English speaking employees.
