Toxic environment

Recommend

Business Outlook

Pros

The compensation and benefits are competitive and well structured, but they come at a significant cost to employees’ mental and emotional well being due to the demanding nature of the work environment and toxic management.

Cons

Poor leadership practices marked by retaliatory behavior and passive aggressive dynamics. This creates s culture of fear and mistrust. In environments where conflict is avoided rather than addressed, this leads to ineffective communication and diminished psychological safety. When coaching is driven by a manager’s personal preferences instead of objective performance standards, it further erodes employee morale. As a result, many employees do not feel safe providing honest feedback in engagement surveys like Glint, which undermines the purpose of those tools and allows critical issues to go unresolved.

Pros

Company cares about providing valuable health care

Cons

Politics between Prime and legacy Magellan are completely unbearable. Silos cause severe disruptions to customer and limit effectiveness of teams. Management is oblivious to this and focuses on feel-good events versus addressing issues that fester within this lack of culture.

Bias after Merger

Recommend
CEO approval
Business Outlook

Pros

Good benefits, lots of PTO once you are hired on

Cons

Bias towards MRx employees after merger. Stagnant pay for legacy Prime employees while MRx employees saw raises of greater than 6% on top of an already higher base pay. Endless mandatory OT because of constant RPh turnover (likely due to low pay for contractors). Senior management refuse to address pay discrepancy that they created when they did a "job harmonization."
