Pros

- adjunct faculty are permitted to receive the college's discounts on software and equipment - employee tuition remission - improved professional-development programs - infrastructure's slowly improving (as in facilities, security initiatives, etc.) - student-centered education, which is reflected in the College's values and mission - strong family-centered organization (as in past and current employees are a family) - a wide array of public programs for students, which is commendable for a commuter college

Cons

- for adjuncts, no traditional benefits (other than the aforementioned) nor the offer to buy into the college's plans (e.g., health, 403[b], etc.) - one of the lowest pay ranges in the region for adjuncts - no stability from semester-to-semester with regard to faculty (both full- and adjunct teacher) contracts - a 27 credit-hour limit on the number of courses both full-timers and adjuncts can teach - administrative matters are often a bit disorganized and are announced on short notice - students report lackadaisical staff in student services-related departments

Pros

Great environment to work in Supportive staff Training was provided when I first started. Small mistakes made were not made a big deal out of.

Cons

The whole application to interview to hiring process was a little too long. In my case it took about 6 months.
