      Greenville is a great town

      Cons

      GHS is a very hierarchical organization that basically wants physicians to generate fees with little interest in individual practioner ideas or preferences. Basically every physician works for the Dept. of Medicine or Surgery. The culture is factory like without much in the way of collegial relationships. Lousy benefits, particularly poor retirement benefits.

      never work a full 40 hrs a week

While every situation varies, please reach out to your supervisor in regards to working more hours, or look for openings in SuccessFactors as a secondary job may be available for you to work a 40 hours week if there is not enough need in your current department.

We place a high value on our student interns and want them to learn as much as possible. Unfortunately, healthcare is unpredictable and therefore can be challenging to be consistent.
