Pros

this is a small community focused hospital system that has a reputation of providing good health care. Facilities are lovely and caregiver staff is talented.

Cons

Organization is being dismantled in the name of efficiency and gutted of everything that gave it distinction. Leadership seems to enjoy slashing the budget ---including ending community outreach nursing---while rewarding themselves with generous bonuses. Management governs by fear and secrecy leaving staff wondering day by day about their future and eroding trust in each other.

Pros

Quality of care and attention provided for patients, commitment to philanthropy and charitable organizations to support the local community. Good benefits and 401K program.

Cons

Lack of employee morale, very little communication between staff and management. Very weak employee career development program. An overall stagnant and stale corporate culture and work environment.

Pros

Professionals wishing to move up the ladder- this would be your organization to grow!

Cons

Inexperienced leadership. Retention efforts recognized as non- existent. Costly to the organization and patient care. (Noted other organizations can and do work to keep their employees and demonstrate willingness and know-how to plug applicants into roles they may be more fitted for, if not for the role they applied for.) Lack of information passed from senior leadership though the managers to staff and from staff through the managers up to senior leadership. Additionally, there is no cohesion between facilities and areas in the organization- left and right hands aren't aware of what the other is doing. This small organization continues to make budget cuts at a time when other organizations show productive growth and positive changes for employees, patients, and visitors.
