Cons
The Field Solutions team at Procore has been negatively impacted by rushed hiring decisions. Our director pushed for rapid overseas hiring, significantly cutting down the interview process and extending offers to low-performing candidates. While I’ve worked with excellent overseas hires in the past, the majority of engineers brought in under this initiative have been subpar—some of the weakest I’ve seen in my career. Unfortunately, this has resulted in poor code quality, causing more harm than good to the codebase.
