Great Brands, Great Resources and Tools and mostly great people
Pros
HQ is in a mid size affordable fun city which is great for families. The brands sell themselves for the most part, executive senior management has put this company on a growth course.
Cons
This is a very very large company and very very political. Some of the focus has shifted from marketing and selling great products to middle management promotions to “check the right boxes” leading to some leaders who are clearly not ready for highly visible roles. In a great economy, this is easy to disguise but when the economy slows, the leadership flaws will begin to show. So, like every big company with tenured employees, friends promote friends based mostly on that, they also accelerate promoting younger talent for fear of losing the next generation but most are just not ready. Nepotism and fear being down empires, I really hope that doesn’t happen. Hey, I have been the beneficiary of this practice but needed to be said. So, if you do join us don’t be surprised if your boss is all of 26 years old and has a whole 3 years under their belt.
