Pros

Commiserating with other co-workers. Making fun of the corpulent managers. Close to the A/C train?

Cons

Looking for a place filled with orange hued guidos who love lying to people over the phone (they often even use fake names when calling companies)? This is your spot! None, and I mean none, of the senior sales people at this place would make it at a real publisher like Conde, Hearst, Time Inc, etc. Why? Because PSP is more like Boiler Room than Mad Men. I used to get sick to my stomach on Sunday nights thinking about having to go back in there the next morning to be belittled by guys whose only real talent is delivering falsehoods over the phone. This is not a place for anybody who has any integrity at all.

Pros

50k salary, covers health and dental. the men are cool dudes

Cons

350 cold calls a day. if you arent on the phone for a period of two minutes you get singled out for not making calls. you are bound to screw up when you first start but the middle desks still berate you if you get it wrong. 8-5 is an awful time. oh and they make you lie to the companies you call by saying you work with the athletic department that you call when you will never speak to anyone from that university. no integrity
