Strong culture, interesting work, and easy-going coworkers
Pros
The people here are the biggest pro. Everyone I've worked with has been solid and had easy-going personalities, which makes for a low-stress environment. I've seen a real commitment to building and maintaining high-trust in teams from management, and it's been mostly successful in my view. The work is also interesting and the industry as a whole is situated neatly in the currently booming AI/ML wave, so there are some unique learning opportunities that I wouldn't expect would be available at many other companies of this size.
Cons
It's an open office for the most part so external conversations can make it hard to focus at times. From an engineering perspective, a lot of the talent is new so there's a non-trivial amount of ramp, and it also feels like the ramping never stops. There is also a fair amount of being bounced around from one thing to another, and it interrupts and slows building the expertise necessary to take ownership of projects.
