Pros

Stable?, if you find a niche in the company.

Cons

Mini Computer Associates. A bodyshop used to buy companies and replace their innovative employees with offshoring labor at 6:1. A great theoretical savings, until you start counting up how many bodies are needed to do one simple job. Interested only in margins

The success Progress has built over 40 years as an international company shows that we have successfully weathered an avalanche of marketplace disruption. This level of sustained adaptability takes forethought that is not always obvious to those living through it. We understand that acquisitions are an upheaval impacting real lives, which is why we’ve offered each impacted employee a competitive severance package and job search services to help them find the next opportunity as quickly as possible. As a current employee, we invite you to discuss any ongoing concerns with your Human Capital Business partner.

Pros

Salaries are good for the country, benefits package is good, they pay for support well, office is nicer than usual I guess

Cons

lots of corporate bureaucracy, many people are lazy and you end up doing their work, career advancement from junior to senior is ridiculously easy so you often see people in senior positions who are clueless, career development to decision maker depends more on who you are friends with rather than your abilities
