Pros

I have been with Prometheus for five years, and I can honestly say it has been an incredibly rewarding experience. From day one, I’ve had the opportunity to work alongside some of the most genuine, supportive, and knowledgeable professionals in the industry. The collaborative culture and strong team dynamic make it a place where people truly enjoy working together. One of the things I value most about Prometheus is its commitment to diversity, inclusion, and employee well-being. The benefits are exceptional, and the company consistently invests in its people. Processes and procedures are clear, well-organized, and easy to navigate, with resources readily available whenever guidance is needed. Another standout aspect of the organization is its leadership. Senior leaders are approachable, accessible, and genuinely care about employee feedback. Whenever I’ve reached out with questions or concerns, I’ve received thoughtful, helpful support. Prometheus also offers outstanding opportunities for growth and development. Whether you're looking to advance your career, explore new roles, or experience a change of environment, there are countless opportunities. Most importantly, Prometheus has always made me feel valued, supported, and invested in. It’s a company that truly cares about its employees and makes them feel like an important part of its future.

Cons

None to note, my overall experience with Prometheus has been positive.

Pros

Jackie the CEO is an amazing individual. Wish she knew how truly unhappy people in the field really are.

Cons

One of the most soul-crushing environments imaginable. If you’re looking for a place that drains your motivation, disrespects your intelligence, and treats employees like disposable tools—congrats, you’ve found it. •Blatant, shameless favoritism. Promotions go to the most obedient bootlickers, not the most capable people. Just work at Spruce, you’ll be handed a PFM position in no time. If you’re not part of the “Promethean Illuminati,” don’t expect to be heard, let alone respected. Make sure not to voice your concerns, that just turns into a big bright target on your back. •Senior leadership lies as easily as they breathe. They’ll gaslight you, rewrite history, and twist the truth to protect their own image, then blame you when things go wrong. •Sketchy business practices everywhere. Corners are cut constantly, laws are bent (if not outright broken), and anyone who questions it gets labeled a “problem.” •HR is a joke. Don’t expect protection or fairness, —HR exists solely to shield management and silence complaints. •Fear-based culture. People are afraid to speak up because retaliation is real. Expect backstabbing, scapegoating, and management by intimidation. The yearly survey is a bully tactic and you must answer the way the Senior Leaders want you to. When people answer truthfully, the “anonymous” survey responses somehow fall on you and your team. •Good people don’t last long—they either quit or get pushed out. What’s left is a mess of yes-men, survivors, and checked-out zombies. HR will follow up with a generic response on how they value everyone, how they would’ve listened if you came to them, they truly care, blah blah blah. Sanford would’ve never stood for this, he had a vision and the moment he was laid to rest the Senior Leadership Vultures destroyed it. Disgraceful is an understatement.

Hello, It’s tough to read that your time as a Promethean has been less than positive. While this perspective doesn’t reflect the culture we work hard to foster, we take your concerns seriously. We, too, are proud of the vision Sanford brought to Prometheus and appreciate that you felt a connection to that. Our merit-based approach to hiring and promotions directly reflects his legacy and remains a distinction we are proud of. Our policies and practices are continuously elevated to ensure they reflect both our values, legal and ethical standards. We are confident in sharing that all supporting systems in place meet those standards. You are right that many promotions have come from time spent at Spruce. As a large Neighborhood with many nuances, it is a great learning experience to build upon strengths required in advanced roles. We remain proud of our Prometheans who have taken on the responsibility of a large Neighborhood and excelled. We remain committed to building an environment where our Prometheans feel heard, respected, and supported - our Prometheans are our most prized resource. We genuinely hope that you have found a work environment that aligns more closely with your ideals, and we wish you all the best in your journey ahead.

Pros

The healthcare benefits are fully covered, which removes a financial burden. However, the lack of choice and flexibility in the plan makes it feel more like a checkbox than a true benefit.

Cons

Mansion Grove suffers from outdated leadership practices and clear favoritism. Management lacks the training and mindset required to lead a high-performing team. Instead of focusing on fairness, accountability, and team development, they operate on proximity and preference. Blatant favoritism is a regular part of the culture. Certain employees are allowed to take company appliances for personal use. Others who spend more time in the office socializing with management receive awards and praise, while those actually completing work in the field are ignored or penalized. Service requests are mismanaged and distributed unevenly. Those who consistently tackle complex tasks—like appliance troubleshooting—are overloaded with additional work, while others who cherry-pick simple tasks like battery replacements are rewarded with lighter workloads. Management treats all service requests as numbers, showing a complete disconnect from the time and effort required to resolve each issue. There’s little in the way of career development or advancement. Promotions and recognition often seem political rather than based on merit. Those who want to grow through hard work and skill are typically overlooked unless they are part of the inner circle. Turnover is high, and it’s easy to understand why. When effort goes unrecognized, favoritism runs unchecked, and management remains unaccountable, it creates an environment where talented people either burn out or move on. HR provides no real support. Legitimate concerns are often reframed to protect management, and employees are left without a meaningful resolution process. Prometheus promotes a forward-thinking, people-first culture—but what’s happening at Mansion Grove tells a very different story.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. Unfortunately, your experience hasn’t reflected the supportive culture we aim to create at Prometheus. We appreciate your insights and take your concerns seriously. It is important to us that a positive, productive, and inclusive environment for Prometheans is felt across all departments and locations; Mansion Grove with an average tenure of 10 years is no exception. We encourage you to contact the Promethean Services team for support and to connect directly about your current challenges.
