Providence has been good to me

Pros

Lots of opportunities to move up if you work hard and want it. Had some of my best managers/directors/bosses here at Providence who pushed me in the most positive ways. Really appreciated the team cultures that I have been part of so far. The pay is fair for those in Program/Project Management, especially for a Healthcare System. You have to ask for it though when you first get the job. Providence is also very work from home friendly. I've worked from home since Covid and we're never going back into mandatory office stations. I do sometimes have to work over 40 hours a week especially when projects deploy, but the work life balance overall is great. Overall great co-workers.

Cons

The benefits could be better. You have to use your PTO to get paid for any holidays. The health insurance benefits aren't great either (you have to pay quite a bit to insure yourself and your family; i.e. compared to Kaiser where they covered my entire family for free). The HR overall is outsourced to the Philippines and they are not very helpful at all. 401k matching is pretty minimal. I do sometimes have to work over 40 hours a week especially when projects deploy, but the work life balance overall is great. There is a definite switch to outsourcing jobs to India which it feels like they often try to hide but everyone already knows. Raises are very minimal; it's considered great if you get 3% a year. Does not seem to be bonus structures for PMO folks unless you are a Manager level or higher.
