Job security, benefits, room for groth and tutition reimbursement.

Cons

Lower salary and older operating systems. Organization it top heavy, too many directors, vp's and presidents. Not enough people to actually do the work.

Pros

Prudential offers excelleent benefits packages, which includes a generous 401K with decent investment option choices. They offer great healthcare choices, including HSAs, HFAs Medica, CIGNA and major medical type coverages. I believe all benefits are extended to partners, whether same or different sex. Vacation is very generous and work/life balance is great. There are plenty of opportunities for growth but you have to stand out in a big company: in order to do that, you must show energy, enthusiasm and maintain a positive attitude. It is easy to be a leader in this organization. Also, education opportunities (to obtain a bachelers, masters or some other advance degree) is VERY generous.

Cons

Sadly, some people are born to manage and not lead. and vice versa As with other companies, some people have promoted into leadership positions by virtue of their internal relationships and they aren't great leaders. There is a different between measuring and leading. Prudential is a large company and if you are introverted or not a people person, it may be hard for you to stand out. People tend to stay in positions for a long time while clearly not being suitable for a job. Prudential could be a little more flexible in their approach to telecommuting and alternate work arrangemetns but they seem to be moving in the right direction.l

Cons

Favortism, racism, age discrimation, a caucasion institution that does not believe in minority advancement. Probably b/c Roseland does not have the senior management of Newark in their building. Newark homebase is tolerate of discrimation but not the extended buildings outside the area.
